We believe God’s goodness changes everything—how we see ourselves, how we love others, and how we live in the world.

Oaks Chapel is a multigenerational church in Double Oak, Texas, learning together how to slow down and follow Jesus.

In a culture that’s always in a hurry, we’re choosing a different pace—rooted in grace-filled truth, shaped by the beauty of Christ, and sustained by the presence of God.

Whether you’re just beginning to explore faith, or returning with questions, there’s a place here for you to breathe, belong, and grow.

Our mission is simple yet deeply transformative:

To see, be shaped by, and share the goodness of God.

Our Values.

At Oaks Chapel, our core values shape how we live, worship, and show up for one another. They’re not just what we believe—they’re how we move through the world.

Grace-Saturated Truth

The Bible—Old and New Testament—is the foundation of our lives. But truth alone isn’t enough. When God’s truth is saturated in grace, it becomes the lens through which we see ourselves and others. It guides our decisions, fuels our purpose, and invites us to live lives that bring life to the world around us. Grace isn’t just something we receive—it’s something we extend. When the truth of the Scriptures and the grace of God meet, the Bible does more than inform us about God; it transforms our very lives.

2 Tim 3:16-17, Ephesians 2:8-9, Colossians 4:6, 2 Corinthians 12:9

Deliberate Presence

God is a pursuer. From Genesis to Revelation, the story of Scripture is the story of a God who shows up—again and again—to redeem, restore, and rescue. He doesn’t love from afar; He draws near. And because we follow a God who is present, we practice a faith that is present.

We put away distractions to be fully engaged—with God, with one another, and across generations. Presence isn’t accidental; it’s intentional. We make space for it—in our homes, in our church, and in the everyday—because formation begins where presence is prioritized.

John 1:14, 1 Corinthians 9:19-23, Hebrews 10:25, Malachi 4:5-6

Relentless Kindness

God’s kindness doesn’t quit. It’s patient, faithful, and disarming—and it draws us back to Him again and again. His kindness leads us to repentance—and reshapes how we see the world. That same kindness shapes how we move toward others: with compassion, with connection, and with care. In a world where people feel unseen, we choose to notice. We let kindness lead.

Exodus 34:6, Romans 2:4, Ephesians 2:7, Titus 3:4-5

Timeless Beauty

God is the creator of beauty—seen in nature, in redemption, and in every ordinary day. Beauty is how God wraps His goodness in something we can see and feel. When we encounter beauty, we’re catching a glimpse of God’s goodness at work. We believe seeing His beauty is a spiritual practice: a discipline of noticing what He’s doing, even when it’s hard to see. When we gather around the timeless beauty of God seen in creation, the arts, and His redemptive work, we celebrate His goodness.

Ecclesiastes 3:11, Romans 8:28, Psalm 50:2, Psalm 96:6

Sustainable Rhythm

The pace of Jesus is not hurried. He invites us to walk with Him, not sprint. In a culture of burnout and busyness, we choose a better way. We build lives anchored in peace—marked by rhythms of worship, service, rest, and community. Formation isn’t a rush; it’s a long obedience in the same direction.

Exodus 20:8-10, Matthew 11:28-30, Philippians 4:6-7, Psalm 23:1-2, Hebrews 4:9-10
