What We Believe
What does Oaks Chapel believe about the Bible? The Bible, Old and New Testament, is the foundation of life at Oaks Chapel. We believe Scripture is meant to transform how we see God, ourselves, and others, not just inform us. We believe the Bible to be the verbally, plenarily inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, and the supreme and final authority in doctrine and practice.
What does Oaks Chapel believe about Jesus? We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became fully man, without ever ceasing to be fully God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, so that He could reveal God to us and redeem sinful people. He accomplished that redemption through His death on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice, dying in our place. His literal, physical resurrection from the dead guarantees our salvation. Today Jesus is in heaven, exalted at the right hand of God, where He continues to intercede and advocate for His people as our High Priest.

Visiting for the First Time
What time is the service at Oaks Chapel? Sundays at 10am. The service runs about an hour.
What should I wear? Come as you are, most people dress casually.
Is there parking? Yes, parking is available in the main lot upstairs.
What happens during a typical Sunday service? Services include contemporary worship music (with some hymns), a short spoken responsive reading, and a message from the teaching team, most often Charlie Ridenour.

Kids
What's available for kids during the service? Kids from birth through 5th grade have their own age-appropriate space to play and learn during the Sunday service. Kids ministry is safe, fun, hands-on, and engaging for all ages.
How does kids check-in work? Secure check-in is located on the left side of the main entrance in the lobby.
What do kids learn at Oaks Chapel? Kids move through three stages, each built around a specific truth they're learning to live out. Birth through kindergarten center on knowing they're made and loved by God. First through fourth grade builds trust in God's Word, working toward the truth that they can trust God's Word and grow in His goodness. Fifth grade focuses on identity, learning that they were made with purpose and that their identity comes from God, not from anywhere else.
At every stage, kids learn through interactive worship, hands-on activities, and age-appropriate teaching, not just sitting and listening. The goal is for them to experience God's goodness in a way that fits who they are right now, in partnership with their families.
Students
What's available for students (middle school and high school)? Students in 6th through 12th grade join the main worship service on Sundays, and have a midweek gathering on Wednesdays from 6-8pm.
Is there anything for students outside of Sunday and Wednesday? Yes, a monthly Sunday Student Hangout on the first Sunday of the month (August through May), running after the service until noon.
What is the goal of Oaks Chapel's student ministry? Helping students build real friendships and a steady, durable faith they can carry into real life, answering three questions: who am I, am I loved, and where do I belong.
Adults & Small Groups
Does Oaks Chapel have small groups? Yes. Options include men's groups, women's Bible studies and retreats, and mixed small groups. Oaks Chapel 101 is the recommended starting point for finding the right group.

Does Oaks Chapel offer baptism? Yes. Oaks Chapel believes baptism is an outward expression of an inward decision of faith, and practices full-submersion baptism for believers.

Moms Together
What is Moms Together? Moms Together is a space for moms in a similar phase of life, whether raising preschoolers, school-age kids, or teenagers, to gather, share, and grow. It's built to be a consistent, supportive community where moms can feel known, encouraged, and loved, without judgment.
Is Moms Together a Bible study? No. Moms Together is not a Bible study, it's a community group. Groups do engage in meaningful discussions on parenting, faith, and everyday life along the way.
When does Moms Together meet? Weekly on Wednesdays, either morning or evening, at Oaks Chapel. A light meal is provided at each gathering, breakfast for the morning groups and dinner for the evening groups.
How long do Moms Together groups stay together? Groups typically stay together for one to two years, giving moms time to form deep friendships.
Is there anything for my kids while I'm at Moms Together? Yes. Kids Together runs alongside both the Wednesday morning and Wednesday evening groups, giving kids a fun, safe place to play, make friends, and learn about God's love while moms get some grown-up time of their own.
